Pacifica became the first creative company in Portugal to complete the ISO 14006 EcoDesign Certification process.

We establish as a priority not only the creation of products considering their lifecycle and greater longevity but also products that contribute to a regenerative and resilient economy model. A creative performance with a solid, substantiated seal of transformation, bringing impact and added value to brands, companies, and products born under this umbrella.

A Genuine Commitment to Sustainability and Ecodesign

Portugal holds a very diverse natural heritage thanks to its geographical location and geophysical conditions. From its dune habitats, rocky cliffs, natural parks, and never-ending coast, Portugal plays host to a variety of spaces where a range of wildlife and biodiversity thrives. This is the country we lived in all our lives, and that makes our happiest memories. We want the next generations to have the opportunity for the amazement and consideration for the landscape, fauna, and flora that we have.

We consider our role as decision-making partners to make us responsible for various creative and production cycles. These must be aligned with sustainability and biodiversity’s ongoing demands, defending an eco-design with a principle of change. For this reason, from 2023-30, we will start a binding process of transformation of our design methodology, which operates between consultancy, branding, communication, and certification of brands and products. We acknowledge the need to include environmental performance in our design products in order to reduce impacts, improve resource efficiency and foster bio-based solutions through circular design and a life-cycle thinking approach. This is our compromise for ecosystem diversity perseverance.

The management of This is Pacifica declares its commitment – in compliance with the requirements of ISO 14006 standard – toward the continuous development of environmental performance and prevention of pollution incorporating eco-design.

The ecodesign is a key tool to achieve our objectives and goals, allowing us to minimize the environmental impact of our products/services throughout their life cycle, directly influencing the entire value chain, and improving the satisfaction and expectations of our clients.

We ensure compliance with legal obligations and other applicable requirements relating to the environmental aspects of the organization’s products and pretend to continually improve eco-design.
In terms of Sustainability, the company aligns its strategy with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) defined by the UN in the 2030 Agenda. For this purpose, we selected 3 SDGs as priorities:

Roadmap to 2030

2023
Carbon-free energy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As we continue to learn and collaborate on new ways to achieve our goals, such as harnessing next-generation geothermal energy or implementing carbon-smart computing, we hope to demonstrate that a carbon-free future is possible for all.

We will start our process to fulfil the requirements for ISO 14006 standards: the certification that establishes, documents, implements, maintains, and continuously improves Ecodesign Management as part of an environmental management system. We will work on reduction of costs and consumption of materials and select materials with associated low impact, optimization of production techniques and distribution systems, reduce the impact in the use phase and end-of-life system optimization.

Create and share, at least, one eco-design packaging project.

Conclude the 14006 ISO certification.

2024
Create and share at least one eco-design project throughout its entirety (through holistic approach along product life cycle, from cradle to grave).

Research and partnership with printing houses and other suppliers conducive to work on sustainable sourcing policies and Eco-R&D for more sustainable materials.

2025
Work and share at least three eco-design projects throughout their entirety (through holistic approach along product life cycle, from cradle to grave).

Reduce our organization’s carbon emissions thoroughly, and offset the residual emissions after mitigation for what we have produced via carbon offsetting projects. When calculating our emissions, in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards, we want to achieve carbon neutrality.

2030
Establishing guidelines and principles to have all our studio projects managed and developed through eco-design principles.

0% carbon footprint!
