In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
TEDxEdges was the first TED event to be held in Portugal, and Pacifica was responsible for all the communication, including general branding, brochures, mupis, interactive touch table application, and special lenticular posters.

As an extension of the concept we thought of highlighting the question: How would the letters look like being shattered? And how could we do it in a stationary piece? We decided to use in the poster the lenticular printing technique. The commonly printed pieces in this material are promotional, small size and fast consumption (gifts). This is the result of the exploration of the idea of movement, color and depth.

We developed an interactive multi-touch and multi-user interface. This allowed an interaction between the TEDxEdges twitter and the other users, establishing links between various actors of knowledge.

The comments on Twitter were selected according to tags. If the comments of the tags were about Technology, appeared inside the letter “T”, about Entertainment in the “E” and if the theme was Design it appeared inside the letter “D”. Each “tweet” would have a link to the profile of its “owner”, so any user could become his follower.
