The development of the book “Google First 25 Years” was marked by two extremely important moments: the creation of the visual identity of the publisher daMaia Publisher, responsible for the publication of the book, and the conception of a graphic system that would outline future editorial projects. Being the first book of the publisher, there was a concern to apply the defined principles and subtly highlight the chosen company: @google . This book is not about a novel or a technical work, but rather a biography of a brand, a celebration of the minds behind the incredible story of the technology giant, from its origins in Stanford to its global dominance.
Every aspect of the work was carefully elaborated according to a pre-established editorial program between the author and the studio. With about 30 meticulously hand-drawn illustrations, the book presents moments from the founders’ and the brand’s history never before captured in photographs or images. The work combines rigorous and structured design with illustrations, colors from the visual identity, infographics, and sections that provide distinct and surprising visual approaches.
