Habitat

Habitat is already a reference in restaurants in Porto, increasing the perception of the family-owned and 100% Porto-based group, which owns other restaurant brands in Porto. Since its launch in October 2020, many local and foreign customers have frequented the space, repeated it and recommended it. Habitat now features in the city's Must Go restaurants.

Cantareira is a picturesque area of Porto where fishermen meet, socialize and make fishing nets. An old two-story building was converted into Habitat. The restaurant offers the best ingredients from the land, using fire as an ally to cook succulent meats and the freshest vegetables. The design of the space favors the exposure of these ingredients and the visibility of the fire station. Due to its charismatic location and distinctive building, the brand should enjoy the genuineness of its physical context. The brand’s essential premise would be to unite the different environments in a transversal way, with a rich and organic habitat, elevating the brand experience to an unavoidable reference among the Portuguese public and also tourists, who recognize the natural seduction of the area.

The identity is based on several elements: typography, which explores a fluid and organic calligraphic design, with reference to the names of Cantareira fishermen’s boats; the fine line drawings of rough shapes that create associations with objects, space and plants; and the patches of color in irregular and imperfect shapes, which humanize identity. The combination of these elements creates free and spontaneous compositions in the various brand applications. The signature “Earth and Fire” is inspired by the fresh ingredients of the earth and the fire of the oven. The finishes on the communication supports harmonize the graphic elements with the space, taking advantage of the incidence of light.
